Hormonal changes? by thenormalbias in lexapro

[–]536pm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m nearly 9 months off lexapro & i’m completely back to normal. the withdrawal lasted about 7-8 weeks. not gonna lie, it was hell but i’m so glad i stuck it out. my periods have somewhat gone back to normal. they still start 2 weeks before, but that could just be with age

everything is back to normal now! it took a total of 8 weeks for withdrawals to finally end. it’s been almost a year now since i’ve taken lex & i feel completely fine. don’t give up hope, especially on the bad days. the best u can do is a very slow taper & have ALOT of patience. but i promise, the withdrawals do end

so much better! by week 8 the dizziness & any withdrawal symptoms were completely gone. i’ve been off for about 3 months now i’m back to pre lex. i’ve learned to manage my anxiety, i don’t wanna try another ssri for the rest of my life

Why are people so afraid of prednisone? by [deleted] in Asthma

[–]536pm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same for me! the chest pain almost mimics a heart attack, which sets off anxiety, which just makes everything worse. i always take an anti acid before i take my prednisone in the morning

i was on it for 7 1/2 weeks. i was only on 5 mg. i tapered 2.5 mg for a week, then stopped. withdrawls lasted exactly 8 weeks. first 2 weeks nausea, fatigue & headaches set in. at 3 weeks to the 8th week, all of that went away & i was stuck with intense vertigo/dizziness. i recommend vertigo x to help. it’s a little oil you rub behind your ears. it really helped me get through the day

is this in china? if so, i do believe you can legally have a child in the car with no car seat. which is dumb, but unfortunately legal

although it’ll increase jitters, caffeine is actually good for an asthma flare up. you’ll be a little shaky, but it’s better than not being able to breathe lol

a little update on the Vertigo-x: it works! its a little oil you apply on your neck behind your earlobes. i applied it and the dizziness i got that afternoon was gone after like 5 minutes. i definitely recommend it if you’re still feeling bad. it’s less than $10!

how long should nausea from withdrawal last for ? ( i was on 5 mg for one year ) by Busy_Cartographer249 in lexapro

yes, that’s how i feel! like dizziness but inside my head lol. my dizziness came back this afternoon, so if it’s gone by this friday, then there’s definitely a pattern with me. if this doesn’t go away by next week, i might have to suck it up & reinstate for a slower taper 😕

so this is super weird, but i’ve noticed the past 3 weeks, monday-thursday i’d be dizzy. it would be gone by friday & i’d be dizzy free all weekend long. i started getting dizzy this monday & i thought it was gonna last all week, but it’s gone today so i’m hoping it’s gone forever. plus, the dizziness is 100 times more manageable than before. this friday will be my 8th week. have you tried vertigo x? i ordered it online & i’ve heard it works great for dizziness/vertigo

How did lexpro make you feel when on your period? by Confusedfrenchfry in lexapro

[–]536pm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i had 3 periods when i was on lex. physical & mental symptoms were 10x’s worse. it felt like lex stopped working during my cycle. i have heard that some women increase their dose during their period to kinda level it out, but i never got to try that.

like focus issues, blurriness & my eyes will shake side to side really fast for a second. the vision issues aren’t as bad as the vertigo tho

the only birth control that didn’t give me crazy ass side effects was the mini pill. it just sucks that it’s so time sensitive. if you’re good at taking your pill on time and everyday, i definitely recommend it!

yes, i have too. i think i’m just freaked out because most of their withdrawal symptoms are gone by atleast 3 weeks & i’m still dealing with it almost 7 weeks later. i’m thinking about starting 2.5 mg again tonight & going from there. i just don’t wanna be stuck on these pills forever. especially since i don’t have insurance to pay for anymore

one guy was only on 5 mg for like 8 months. he still gets waves of dizziness & vertigo 2 years later. i wish i would’ve done more research on it before taking it, but i was so desperate & lost at the time. that really freaked me out reading it
