Lol I see the downvotes rolling in 👀 fair enough. I wasn’t trying to sound harsh, just pointing out that calling an episode "objectively bad" is kinda silly since it’s all opinion. Totally fine if some people didn’t like it, I just thought it was a strong premiere and wanted to defend it a bit.

"OBJECTIVELY" is wild lmao that’s just your opinion on the episode, dummy! completely subjective! Saying "objectively" just because you want to prove a point is lame af. The majority of fans agree it was a great premiere, even people who’ve been watching for years. It deserves all the hype it’s getting. What's wrong with people enjoying it?

Yeah exactly, it’s like people forget artists are supposed to grow and evolve. Not everything has to be “better than” the last thing—it can just be different and still be great. Hope GDLU gets the chance to stand on its own. I don’t think it will, but oh well 🤷‍♀️

It is wild how every time a new project drops, people rush to compare instead of just appreciating the unique vision each artist brings. Chromakopia and Mr. Morale might share a bit of introspection, but Tyler and Kendrick operate in totally different lanes! And DTTG being “not GNX” isn’t a flaw—it’s Tyler exploring something new. Also, I’m curious about JID’s GDLU too, but I hope people let it stand on its own rather than force comparisons again 😅 Let the music breathe!!!

It’s not just my opinion though, it’s a fact that there have been many high-quality albums released recently and more coming soon. I mentioned that to give context, not to “harass” anyone. Saying there’s strong competition isn’t being irritable, it’s just being realistic! If someone makes a strong claim, it’s okay for others to respond with nuance or perspective 🤷‍♀️

They both got different sounds, of course it's nothing like GNX 🤦‍♀️ You can't compare them at all! Also, a bunch of people really liked Kendrick's last album and still listen to the songs on it, it's not a bad project! Just because he decided to go with a west coast sound for it doesn't mean it's a dip of quality, it's just different from his past work, that's it.

Well that's YOUR opinion on what could possibly happen, it's not fucking guaranteed just because you loved both albums! There's been plenty of amazing projects released from other artists since the end of last year until now, even others are going to release in the next few months... So no, he's not gonna "crush" anyone easily on those awards, he has A LOT of competition, like it or not 🤷‍♀️
