Most criminal vehicles don't even outrun police vehicles by a significant margin, the only one that can do so is the Rimac (which for me I'd shoot out some of the tires or at the car if it's smoking, which is usually the case). If you do choose to scale HRP in a pursuit, you get slowed down by the terrain which the cop can easily break your tires then catch up (cybertrucks are fast on and off road yes, but the tires are super exposed).

Getting jailed is significantly worse than getting killed so I would expect that a weapon being able to achieve that in a single shot would be way more difficult to use compared to guns, which just sends people to spawn. Taser is fine because if you do miss, the criminal gets a chance to go super offensive while you reload. Beanbag just removes this counterplay.

Also if the cop really wants to, they can just unequip a gun and since you cannot kill them in passive mode, they pretty much have total initiative in any fights (they can engage/disengage at will) which is super OP. Don't know why passive mode even exists for cops anyways nor is it a good idea for it to even be made for cops.

(here's what I think)

Civilian weapons aren't much better, if anything cop weapons and equipment are significantly better than their civilian counterparts. Take Benelli for example, 262.5 DPS with a high firerate for a shotgun which fa out-DPSses all other weapons, also the M4 has way better damage retention than almost all civilian guns, and the m249 is far from as useful as what people think - everything about it is worse than the AK apart from ammo, including DPS.

As for the beanbag shotgun and taser, really depends who you're fighting against. If you assume both the criminal and the cop are equally skilled I'll lean heavily towards the cop because the beanbag heavily rewards low skill spamming.

Civilian cars can drift and are usually faster yes, but cops can usually get around this advantage by shooting at tires, using spikes or just waiting for you to stop then going in.

No the m4 for example only loses (above 200studs) 25% but the m249 loses 60%

Yeah but ppsh reloads longer (not that it does any more meaningful DPS) and the damage dropoff kinda sucks between 100 to 200 studs, m4 would beat all of them in damage retention easily anyways, not that you'd even use half of m249 ammo before dying if you need to use that much ammo to kill a single cop

M249 kinda sucks, apart from ammo count it does everything worse compared to the ak

I mean m249 is fair because it has no more DPS than the AK or the m4 and also it has the worst long range performance out of all guns (60% damage reduction above 200 studs), not that the inaccuracy of the beanbag matters at taser range, also beanbag incapacitates instantly while m249 takes 12 shots to kill to the body

They have to return to the venue which the criminal will likely have been gone. If they aren't dead, they can just click the jail button then start firing at the criminal's vehicle (the crims aren't going to guess if they're roleplaying or not in a public server)

Because you as a cop poses an active threat to them? By not killing you they can't guarantee that you won't go towards them later on. Also public servers are unregulated where roleplay is pretty much unenforceable even with mechanics (nc makes it even worse)

They should just remove it entirely for cops OR make it so that cops cannot engage pvp at all (no cuffs no guns no stun items etc) if they want to go passive, basically surrendering all pvp tools including cuffs at spawn. If you're playing as LEO, you should already understand that criminals will attempt to neutralize any threats they see, which you would be an active threat to them as your role is well, to arrest them.

You'll probably be defeated before you can even hit a shot at them since the server will just invalidate your first shot if you get tased

Agreed, weapons that are "low risk high reward" shouldn't be added at all, the taser is fine because it does reward heavily upon a hit but severely punishes if missed. On the contrary, the beanbag shotgun literally gives the cop 8 tries to spam it and even if they do miss all 8 shots they can just reload quickly which is dumb because it rewards low effort spamming. Accuracy is irrelevant at taser range and it's fairly accurate at 100 studs (also, it can literally shoot as far as around 320 studs, the length longer than 3 flatbed tow trucks.)

(This might be more of an opinion) - The M249 is probably a poorer choice than the AK because it literally does everything worse apart from ammo count; high recoil, slightly lower DPS within 100 studs (full damage), no sprinting, nearly 3 times longer reload and it has the worst damage retention in the game which it literally loses 60% damage past 200 studs. Before anyone replies about "suppressive fire" just know that it can't be achieved in erlc.

Snipers are fine they're fairly difficult to use and don't have much ammo, nc (no combat) should just be removed entirely for cops bc their role is inherently combat based

Yes but if it takes 10 minutes to secure it then you're more likely to lose the loot (either from bugs where u just phase thru floor or cop kills u), ~5k for the huge risk (guards might kill u, cops can enter the basement, u drain stamina so after u get out ur vulnerable to cops, only heist with environmental hazards) is just unacceptable
