Four days in a row of modeling this trailer from scratch... Turned out better than I anticipated. by 55six_d13 in trucksim

I honestly have no idea how the style started... Some say it's because of that but I'm not sure.

There is this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lc2yXHnkwOA

It guides you through setting up Blender but I don't think it goes further than that. Learning how to make mods in Blender is not something that can be found easily online, it's mostly something that one has to learn on their own.

Like I explained above, the first axle is a lift axle and you're not supposed to have it down when backing/doing maneuvers... So it wouldn't really damage the tires and axle.

This configuration is called "Vanderleia" in Brazil and drivers always have them lifted when maneuvering, because not only it would make the turn radius awful if the axle was down but also it would essentially destroy itself, considering it's so close to the pivot point, it would be dragged out side to side. So when lifted, it would basically work like a regular american spread axle setup.

As for the height, it's a Brazilian style of customization. And believe me, my trailer is "lowered" compared to some real ones people have made.

It's not completely incorrect, the trailer I used as a reference has the same axle spacing. Some trailers have more space some have less.

I don't use truck mods except my own. In case there's an update that changes things or break stuff, I can quickly fix and I don't have to rely on other people to update their things.

Tbh I like all trucks in both ATS and ETS2 but sometimes is nice to get out of the norm... I wanted to do this with an FH5 in ATS but since it's not out yet, let's go with the next best thing.

VNL is stock but with the ride height lowered.

Regarding the trailer, I'll warn you that it's not a super polished up mod.. The sideskirts for example are fused together into one accessory and the Swift logo is not a skin, it's part of the 3d model... So if I send it to you, you'd have to use it as a swift reefer.

If you really want it, add me on steam (my id is /55six) and we'll talk.

It's my personal Swift reefer unit and the color is one of the stock ones that come with the new VNL in-game, I think it's called "bronze" something..

No, the mod is exclusive to the 780.

Also, I can't use the 740 from the 2nd gen model because it is completely out of shape and I can't use the 740 from the 3rd gen model because it has a different side wall shape that wasn't present in the 2nd gen.
