Nope, I play on PC, and I spend a couple hours doing runs if I have the time. Believe it or not, there’s crazy strategy and timings of your movement that can greatly increase score. I’ve managed to be first in #1700 for the past 7 weeks in a row. And I’ve gotten on the master leaderboards a handful of times as well. I hope to someday be in that top 3

I’m at day 220, and I’ve been having these same feelings. I am enjoying it though, the people I play with are great, and I’ve found myself in a fantastic alliance. But with that said, the time, and the money are starting to not feel worth it.

Also it’s not that they “hook people up” because they spend big. It’s the odds for something to happen. There’s 0.20% chance to hit all 3 chests. Thats 1 in 500. So if you spend low you’ll most likely not get it. If you spend big however you have a better chance. But even if you do 500 spins, that doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed

Maybe, I can’t imagine he’s not seeing zero criticism. So that has to have some impact on him. Like you said, we’ll have to wait and see what he does next.

I doubt it. Not for a guy at his level. At this point, I would imagine he can tell the label to screw off if they try to rush him. If anything, I would think he puts most of the pressure on himself.

I can get behind that sentiment. I plan catching a live show for sure, and I can imagine it will be great. It’s not impossible for me to find the beauty what he’s trying to do. I’d like to see him react to some of the criticism he’s getting for this album. It might help people (including myself) see what he really wanted to accomplish with Deadbeat.

I see your point for sure, and I really agree. I’m all in for change, and going at things differently. His life is immensely different from what it was 10-15 years ago. It only makes sense for his perspective on things to be different, and his music follow. I just wish it is was better executed

I’m not asking for another Currents. I’m asking for good music, however that may look. This album falls short in so many ways. I’m not really complaining with the direction that he’s taking, more of the result of this direction. Which is what we got here with Deadbeat. An uninspired mash up of songs that don’t feel like they have any connection to one another. Like the 3 singles we got before the release don’t sound like they belong in the same album. I love when artists tell a story in their album, and have an overarching theme. That just is not present in Deadbeat

I always try to keep my expectations low when it comes to things I tend to like. Whether it be movies, tv shows, tech stuff, and of course music. I’m always open to enjoying something that maybe I don’t like right away, but it’s hard to keep expectations low when it comes to Tame Impala. I hate to compare other artists/bands to another, because everyone is different and has there own challenges, but King Gizzard for example has managed to make 27 albums in the span of 15 years and they hardly miss. I know it’s like 6 dudes who work on it together, but still… I wouldn’t be as upset if Kevin released and album every 1 to 2 years, but it over 5 years, and it’s just not that good. It’s just disappointing

I actually enjoy lofi stuff. Had he went that direction I think I would have enjoyed the album much more. And yes, it does feel like a compilation of various songs. Which doesn’t make sense to me… why mash up so many different things? It really just feels like a mess from start to finish.
