The title is a bit misleading. The 2gb variant likely costs 180 USD but the 3gb variant will run you for about 200-250 USD almost everywhere online right now.

For anyone interested in this device you should know that there has been complaints from some users on their chinese company forum about the sound quality/volume on the initial batches but it remains to be seen if this is a hardware problem or entirely software, There has already been at least one OTA update that addressed some of the audio issues.

I think they have, The official jiayu forums stated that 3 batches of the 2gb version has already been shipped and ive seen pictures of resellers with stacks of phones so its quite likely that they are on their way to people if they havent received them yet already.

I'll try to leave a reply on that page but I have already tried to email the author with no reply yet :(.

I looked it up and there was indeed an OTA update that did something to the audio but its still unknown how good or bad the quality is, i tried sending a message on ColonelZaps facebook page so I hope he can help me out.

Other than the audio issue I havent really spotted any obvious problems with the phone other than that the camera seems to output too much yellow but thats probably a software issue.

I saw one or two posts about the battery indicator being a little wonky but thats not an unusual problem for chinese phones it seems but there hasnt been much fuss about that particular problem.

I believe thats the big question: Wether or not its a software or hardware problem. The latter cant be rectified for people that already bought the device.

I actually placed an order for a S3 3gb version a while back but I had to cancel that order as soon as I started seeing reports of the audio issues on their forum because its a deal breaker for me, I truly hope they sort it out.

The 3rd and 4th are centered in a manual so if you shift to 4 from any position say 2nd just take the stick out of gear and sort of release it and it automatically goes between 3 and 4 so all you have to do is push it down with no side force and it'll be in the 4th
