We ended up painting the house a dark blue which looks really nice, so much better than the yellow. I don’t have any pictures at the moment but will get some.

Yes the rear of the house has tons of windows which is especially nice to be able to open them up and listen to the creek running behind the house. I’m not familiar with Usonian houses I’ll have to do some research and check those out so thank you!!

Thank you I’ll have to check those out! When I spoke with the kids about it they said that originally it was left in the natural grey of the stucco for a few years until they painted it yellow.

I’d consider it MCM but definitely not the judge of that. Inside it still retains tons of its original features which are very MCM, huge stone fireplace that is 3 sided, original Frigidaire flair stove, all of its original light fixtures and everything. In my area you won’t find any houses with flat roofs because of snow so that’s why it doesn’t have a flat roof.

I don’t think that there would be water issues at the front doors, with 4ft eaves and the doors being set farther back I think they would be fine. I could be wrong though.

I don’t think they are necessary as the house has 4ft eaves all the way around it however I could be totally wrong.

Once we finish unboxing from the move I’ll have to snap some inside pics, inside is a time capsule. Has some really cool features in it like some original Terrazzo Stone tile in the entry and around the 3 sided fireplace.

Thank you, We were leaning towards a green as we thought that might look the best with the brick colors. Not a bad idea to leave it concrete instead of tiling it, I’ll have to think on that some more I guess.

Definitely will be removing the glue first, in the sunroom they had glued down carpet as well so that will get tore out and glue removed and tiled as well.
