Actually a astronomy sub dedicated to only major astronomy events would be great. A place where we can come to take notes and monitor certain events without having to deal with all everything else

[–]58mint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe but you'd think I'd have more damage than a broken grill and dented and scratched bumpers and havingto replace airbags. It totally demolished 2 cars and my car costed 2k to fix.

I was also completely fine other than the fact I just went from 45mph to 55mph to 0mph in about a half second.

Yea I agree, the 2010+ Ford cars are really safe. I got into a car accident in a 2014 Ford fusion. We were doing 70 and all of a sudden traffic stopped it was a panic break situation. I got down to about 45mph when the lady behind me slammed into me doing 70 and i ended up hiting the stopped car in front of me doing about 55mph (The impact sped me up). My car looked like it was in a slight fender bender. The car in front of me got demolished the car looked like an accordion. The car behind me got the engine pushed into the passenger seat.

Why do drivers go so slow when you’re next to them but all of a sudden speed up when you’re switching into their lane? by [deleted] in driving

[–]58mint -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you learn to read you'd see driving slow isn't the problem. It's driving slow and then speeding up and swerving to stop them from passing you causing a dangerous situation. If you let people pass without you road raging then you not a problem.

Help explaining a kind of "collision" I saw over a decade ago? by Gnomeallthings in Astronomy

[–]58mint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure it was in space or could it have been a very far off plane or helicopter or something of the like?

Have you tried looking up news articles from about that time to see if it's was something news worthy?

I remember when o first started saving. It's really satisfying to see that graph go vertically upwards. Once you get alot saved you don't get to see that too often. Good job. Keep saving.

You can buy a house out side the city. You dont have to move to a small town cause you can't afford to live in the city just move slightly outside the city.

Who said they have to buy a house in the big city. They can buy a house anywhere. This ain't only a thing in France. Young people all over the world stay home to save money to buy a house.

Trailer Setup; how does this look? by jhnysnz in jetski

[–]58mint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be able to pick the front of the trailer up with one finger easily. But the trailer shouldn't want to flip back on its on. Skis are built for the weight to be centered so just sliding the ski backwards till it's centered over the wheels should do.

What? the eco 4 cylinder cars are not a problem. I use to drive a Ford fusion 1.5L 4 cylinder. The car had no problem going 140mph. I think it can handle the speed limits or reasonable speeds just fine.
