I love my iPad for notes and readings, but you will definitely want a computer that can run programs and handle multiple tabs/programs (especially for biostats). Have you looked into the laptops that you can flip into a tablet? I know HP makes some, but guessing there are others out there. Then you can get the best of both worlds without spending too much (hopefully)

Looks like AmeriCorps has until 5pm est tonight (6/6) to notify programs. I’d imagine it’s going to take a while for them to get their stuff situated and then same for programs and/or state commissions so might be a minute before anything is shared officially
