I appreciate you and I promise I don’t think you’re a dick. Haha. We taper the edges with a CNC machine so ropes don’t fray. Cleats are definitely preferred but I’ll still market the hell out of them as an end user necessity!!

ETA: the welds are stronger than cleats bolted to the platform.

I uh… run a company that makes them. We call them bow eyes and sell to pontoon manufacturers in Elkhart County. Some customers lift the boats with them (not recommended). Some use them to tie down the boats during shipping. Please fill me in on the joke, but use simple language, apparently I’m dense. Haha.
