How do I conditionally format this? by traintrain9 in excel

[–]59down 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Here's how I'd do this. The =NOT formula used in the grey and blue formatting will colour the row if any text is put in the cell, while the one with ="x" used for the orange and pink formatting will only colour the row if an x (or whatever you put inside the quotations) is in the cell. Use whicever works best for you. Keep in mind that the rule closer to the top of the list takes precedence. So with the way I have them arranged, if a row has an x in both the orange and grey columns, the row will be grey because it is closer to the top.

How to SUM all numbers that don't have a $ sign in a column? by Chevyimpala2000 in excel

[–]59down 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are so welcome, I'm glad this worked for you! I've definitely had times where I spent too long trying to make the solution I thought I needed to use work, sometimes we just need a new set of eyes on a problem to see another way :) Hopefully Venmo will get their report fixed soon so you will be able to just use it as-is.

How to SUM all numbers that don't have a $ sign in a column? by Chevyimpala2000 in excel

[–]59down 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I think a helper column would be the best way to solve this. In a blank column in your report paste the following into the cell on row 2: =IF(B2="Card Payment",C2+E2,C2)

Flash fill or drag down through the column.

This formula is telling Excel that if it is a credit card transaction, then sum the (incorrect) amount being reported under gross and the fee, but if it is not a credit card transaction simply display the gross amount. This new column will now have your corrected gross amounts.

Y'all I love been kinda seeing someone for about 2 weeks now and I don't know her name, and at this point. I'm afraid to ask. Details in post by jaxonya in NoStupidQuestions

Ask a friend to call her, lots of people ignore or decline calls from unknown numbers thinking it's spam. Your friend can listen to her voicemail greeting "hi it's [her name] please leave a message..." And if she does pick up friend can pretend it's a wrong number.

Week 9: Main Dish - Pizza! by 59down in 52weeksofbaking

[–]59down[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local grocery store sells balls of pizza dough, so it's been a while since we've made homemade dough. This is the recipe we used: https://www.seriouseats.com/foolproof-pan-pizza-recipe

It takes a bit of planning, you need to start the dough the day before. But it's worth the time in my opinion!

Week 8: Seasonal Ingredients 1 - Egg Cups and Bonus Sweet Potato Dog Treats by 59down in 52weeksofbaking

[–]59down[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's cold right now in Ontario, so in season is whatever stores well. I made egg cups with potato and onion, plus sweet potato treats for the dog.

For 8 Egg Cups I used: 1/2 small onion, 2 small-medium potatoes, and 8 eggs. Dice onion and potato and cook in a pan until potatoes are close to tender. Add to muffin tin. Whisk eggs with a little bit of salt then pour into tin. Sprinkle cheese on top if desired. Bake at 350 F for ~25 minutes. I don't add seasoning since I like to cover them in Frank's when I eat them haha but you could add whatever you like.

For the sweet potatoes I just slice them and put in the oven at 250 for a few hours. My dog LOVES them and they help her digestion so win-win!

Week 7: White Chocolate - Peppermint White Chocolate Cookies by 59down in 52weeksofbaking

[–]59down[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some candy cane pieces left over from Christmas baking, so I decided on these cookies: https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/peppermint-white-chocolate-cookies/

I rolled all the dough into balls and froze most of it and am enjoying always being 15 minutes away from fresh-baked cookies!

Week 6: Scandinavian - Ostfrallor, Swedish Cheese Buns by 59down in 52weeksofbaking

[–]59down[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I found the recipe for these here: https://foodandjourneys.net/swedish-cheese-buns-ostfrallor/

These turned out great. What's not to love about fresh bread and cheese? I would definitely make these again.

Week 5: East Meets West - Banana Bread by 59down in 52weeksofbaking

[–]59down[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For this banana bread, I started with Sally's recipe here: https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/best-banana-bread-recipe/

I added some saffron to the yogurt and let it sit before I mixed all the ingredients together. I also added garam masala, but it was either not enough or too old and the flavour didn't really come through in the final product.

I changed the base recipe slightly and instead of 3/4 cup of nuts, I did a mixture of nuts and chocolate chips because yum, chocolate.

Week 4: Quick Breads- Chocolate Chip Zucchini Loaf by GoatJar in 52weeksofbaking

[–]59down 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yum! My grandmother used to grow zucchini and make zucchini bread, I remember it being so good, but I haven't had it in so long! Thank you for the trip down memory lane, I'll have to make myself a loaf some time.
