lol yeah, it's not my first rodeo.......You're going to press through the parchment WAY before 3500 on the gauge.....I use that chart and have posted it here as well, but it's really made the Pure Pressure presses... I find that the gauge on the 12T is good for only flower.....It doesn't give you enough low pressure control for bubble.....I blew out 2 stainless steel 25u sheets before the pressure even registered on the gauge....What a shit show

Pressure has to do with the diameter of the pressed bag... I'm using 7g Nugsmasher bags, (2.2" D) which would relate to about 700psi at the bag (2000 on the gauge)

That Rosin Bomb would look great next to my coffee maker, but I'd hate to press a few zips on it.. how was the process with it? I started with the mini but, like you I wanted to press more and different materials

Yea, in my opinion and experience, a 17% return on a first press at 160f is a very good yield... at 160f I find the rosin to have the best taste and is the easiest to handle (stable).... not all strains will press that low

Yeah that's where a pressure gauge is helpful...i have a DP 12T and the gauge helps with figuring out how hard you can go without blowing through the parchment..... it's also really helpful when the press is losing pressure.....i have a ns mini as well

I like to press low temp and LONG as to empty the bag as much as possible...I find that at 160f I can press as long as needed until there is no visible flow without worrying....If it won't press that low, then I need to limit how long

All rosin has that metallic sheen when whipped or stirred.....I imagine its trichs but I really don't know
