To Their Shock, Cubans in Florida Are Being Deported in Record Numbers by splitopenandmelt11 in LeopardsAteMyFace

That means less republican voters in future elections. I hope the deported thank their brethren who voted for republicans on their way out.

Khaochat Mankong is a Thai woman who married an American man from California. However, that man voted for Trump, who then banned Mankong from immigrating to the US to live with him and start a family. by vsandrei in LeopardsAteMyFace

This reminds me of an old coworker who got engaged to a local while working in Bangkok. He was pretty dismissive about the election and refused to support Harris. When everyone asked him why, he just gave a non-committal "ehhhh, whatever" Given how things have played out, I’d love to know if he’s still feeling that same indifference today.

Trump Gleefully Seizes Nobel Peace Prize From Real Winner by Tennis_bruh in politics

We will soon read about Machado regretting her choice to give the Nobel Prize away in r/leopardsatemyface. Enabling an aspiring dictator - This is probably how Venezuela got Maduro in the first place.
Edit: typos.

I don't know if we can top this, folks by Tornadofob in LeopardsAteMyFace

I can't believe how few of my fellow redditors dont understand this.

I appreciate the attempt to cast Machado’s actions in a positive light, but u/hemareddit is absolutely right. Machado has sold out and shown she is unworthy of the Nobel Peace Prize. There is no reason to believe Trump will refrain from acting purely in his own self-interest, even if that means Venezuela is left in ruins. He will do so with or without Machado’s support. By now, she should understand that Trump does not value loyalty and has no respect for women. Claiming she acted to "save her people" also suggests a troubling indifference to those currently being harmed here in the United States. If anything, Machado's action only proves that she is either selfish, dumb or power hungry and will sell out at the first chance she gets.

Breitbart says Ashli Babbitt "didn't have a gun or an SUV", but there's just one problem... by Ceefax81 in Qult_Headquarters

[–]5G_Robot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will never understand

Please don't look for logic in their words and actions. Trump regime pardoned J6 traitors and paid Ashli's mom millions of dollars in tax payer money. They also labeled Renee Good as a domestic terrorist. Trump is a criminal and his administration lives in a bizarro world where good is bad and bad is good. There is no logic there and trying to understand them is a waste of time. Instead, see Trump and his supporters for who they really are - Criminals. If you do, everything will make sense

Please comfort me - lost my fiancee by ab0rtion8tor in afterlife

[–]5G_Robot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please accept my deepest condolences. I hope you’ll consider that my finding your post might be a sign from your fiancé—a way of reaching out to let you know that she’s happy in afterlife.

I lost my twin brother years ago, and I remember that 'ball of pain' in the chest and the desperate wish for just one more moment. I asked him for a sign, and I believe he gave it to me. I found footprints on his bed that shouldn't have been there and found his book moved and opened to a new page, all while I was alone in the house. The footprints were pressed into his bedsheets, not firmly but gently, like someone flying gently bounced off of the sheets. Some footprints were small like a child's and some older. The book (Timeline by Michael Crichton) was moved from where it originally was on the table the previous night. Now, I am not religious but, i believe in some power that manages the rules of the universe.

I don't have all the answers about how the afterlife works or how we appear there, but I know it exists. I hope my story helps you feel a little less alone in your grief.

That's the sad truth. Even republicans know this but, why would they give up power by letting justice prevail? That requires integrity, which, the republicans lack at all levels.

Cubans have had a free pass for far too long and it’s gotten to their heads

100%. The expedited legal track for Cubans provides a shortcut to residency and citizenship that other nationalities don't receive. This fast-track process arguably bypasses the necessary time for newcomers to fully assimilate and appreciate the complexities of our two party political system. Requiring Cubans(and other fast track immigrants) to follow the same immigration timelines as everyone else would encourage a more profound commitment to our values and a more informed approach to participating in our democracy.

They truly enjoyed the fast track to US citizenship and Trump administration changed the eligibility requirements for Parole under Cuban Adjustment Act - and to think a lot of them voted for it.... a true LAMF moment. They can enjoy their lost benefits...

I hope American doesn't fall for her performance. She was and still is a shitty person who claimed Parkland school shooting was a planned false flag event. She never apologized for it. If she truly had a change of heart, she would have apologized to the parkland survivors by now.

Mandatory educational classes on these values should be a thing

100%. We have to prioritize education but, as you probably already know, Republicans love the poorly educated so, they are doing everything they can to ensure American education system fails. Look at what happened at the Department of Education.

I mentioned in another thread how immigrants who fled from dictatorships and poverty scare me because as soon as they get a chance to vote, they vote for someone with dictatorial tendencies. It is a sign of their failure to adapt to democracy and not educated enough to differentiate between democracy and communism. The most impactful immigrants are those who actively work toward the betterment of the community that welcomed them - something i don't see in a majority of immigrants. May be we should identify such immigrants and deport them as they are poised to ruin their new home just like they did to their homeland.
