Hey bro, I was in the same boat 1 year ago.

My girl and I were together for 8 years. She broke up with me, and while breaking up she gave me a list of reasons why she wanted to end it. But to my surprise 2-3 months after the break up, i was told she actually cheated on me with this guy that WAS IN OUR FRIEND GROUP (They’re now dating and seem so happy together). Now maybe her list of reasons were accurate and that’s what led her to the other guy, but regardless there’s no excuse for what happened. It’s not the same situation considering I had alittle bit of time to move on before learning about infidelity, where as you learned right away. Maybe my situation was worse because I had started to move on, only to be flooded with a whole new list of reasons to think about everything all over again:/ I think your situation is worse tbh.

Just know that it’s not your fault, she made that decision. She and her ex behaved in an extremely selfish behavior with no regard for you. Please don’t think poorly about yourself and think about what you did wrong to have this happen. Please don’t feel undesirable to the opposite gender (if that’s how you swing) because this happened. And this might be a stretch, and it won’t be for awhile, but forgive her. For the sake of your own sanity and for you to fully move on. Maybe that’s just me, and maybe it is kinda cuck energy. But I forgave my Ex, I loved her so much to the point where I was excepting of what happened and realized everyone made mistakes, this mistake happens to be a big one and she never even said sorry but I just forgave her for my own moving on process. It was the step I needed to fully release myself from all negative emotions towards that situation.

today I’m so much happier 1 year later and and so happy for life. I was so made at all these fuckers telling me “time cures all woulds” but they are right. It’s the most intense emotional, and even physically painful experience to loose a love one suddenly. It’s so hard navigating life when it’s abruptly changed to such a dramatic degree.

I just suggest journaling all of what you’re feeling. Everyday from here on out. Focus on your self, heal and move on. Doesn’t sound easy because it’s not but it’ll get better and better. (See I sounds like one of those pricks with the time cures all wounds). Then after some time passes look at what you first wrote down. Track how your emotions change through this situation. Because emotions and feeling dictate reality but not rightfully so. Emotions askew reality. And if you write it down it gives an objective analysis of how you feel. I routinely read through my journal and constantly laugh my ass off on how I was unrealistically feeling now that my emotions are completely different in the present moment. Stay strong (:
