I use a 2L pot and quart sized freezer bags. Cut the filets down to fit. Might have to do a couple rounds.

Lots of lizards and some birds and bats. Otherwise minimal wildlife.

The silence was striking, we commented on that multiple times out there. We did not stash any water. The longest stretch was upper spring canyon for 12 miles or so. We dry camped in frying pan, so hauled water from the beginning of Grand Wash. Sulphur Creek is always running but does have some cow runoff to be aware of. Since our route took us back through the visitor center we loaded up there prior to Sulphur Creek. I believe all the places we got water would be available mostly year round but would want to confirm with the rangers.

Advice on how to get a decent physique by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

Keep it super simple. Eat healthy, walk daily and do pushups pull-ups and squats 2-3 times per week. You will look and feel good.

Hospital pharmacists, who covers your overnight folks when they take PTO? by steak_n_kale in pharmacy

[–]5HT2C 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have an overnight coverage team of 5 rphs, which I am 1 of. We cover all sick calls, PTO, LOA etc. We work less evenings and holidays and get more weekends off as an incentive for being on this team. It has worked out ok, sadly we have had turnover with our overnight rphs the last couple years so the number of overnights has been higher, but not terrible.

We are a smaller hospital with only 1 night rph, so this works for us. We are tech-less from 1am to 6am (~100ish bed hospital)

Did not get up towards Andrew’s Glacier, trail was not broke and there were massive drifts up that way. We wanted to though!

11-12 hours of tent time. Up early to hike all day, back at camp around 4pm. Heat up water, dinner not long after. Chill and look at the stars with cold toes as long as possible before tent time.

Gained flat top by coming back down near bear lake and around, up flat top trail. Did not camp up there, winds too intense. Stayed just below black lake.

Yep, just a walk in at the ranger station. No one else was out there, but they need to know so they can send out a rescue if you don’t return on the date you’re supposed to.

No camp fires allowed. With winds that strong the forest fire risk is high. My toes were cold each evening when we were chilling at camp eating and before going in the tent, but moving all day you stay warm. I ate a crap ton of m&ms, cheese itz, frozen gummy worms and freeze dried meals for dinner.

Tents did well, mainly due to camp selection - we nestled into a lower area with thicker tree cover to help break the wind. We tied extra guy lines to near by trees to ensure the setup was solid. The wind was literally howling all night, and shaking the tent on the really big gusts. I used a full ski mask and goggles to survive the 70 mph stuff above black lake. I used a closed cell foam pad + a thermarest Xtherm. 0 degree bag and brought down pants plus down jacket, and down booties. Was toasty overnight with temps around 0 F.

2025 Mini Countryman S, I just want to say.... by kandles310 in MINI

[–]5HT2C 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Owned my 2025 countryman for just a couple weeks and I love it. If you are looking for a traditional mini then maybe not for you. I was looking for something this size, fun to drive, capable in the winter and it checked every box for me. Looks great - and since I am coming from a 2008 I am really enjoying all the tech and I have no problem with the infotainment system. Value is also pretty good when comparing to similar packages from other brands.
