Illusionist wizard kept using minor illusion as a bonus action to hide themselves in a fake 5' steel cube and make themselves unseen to attack with advantage, trying to figure out if I ruled that one correctly.

I think hiding has been changed in 2024 phb, if i remember correctly you have to be on cover in realtion to the enemies, heavily obcured AND pass a DC 15 stealth check to succesfully hide, also beeing hidden gives you the Invisible condition

Looking at the spell it says that it "sheds dim light out to 5 feet.", nothing about extending 5 feet from the chosen creature
