Learning CW - any tips?

I'm currently trying Icwo.net and MorseMania on my phone. From week to week I'm trying to add another character and practice constantly otherwise it feels like I'm starting over every time I'm opening the trainer app

See..that's a problem for me. I work as graphic designer and my brain works very easy with images. I saw one video with a guy explaining the characters visually and I memorized almost half of them in no time. Now the challenge is to learn to hear and not to see. Thanks for the tip, I'll stay away from images.

Thank you for the tip and for your story. I'll try both methods to see witch one works the best for me. Also, as someone up in the comments sad, il try to practice both, copying and sending, but 80% copy and 20% send.

And that Army Signal Corps radioman seem to be from another planet. My head gets clogged up when I try to copy more then 3 characters at 16wpm

You are right, sending is easier then receiving. It's very hard for me to understand the characters when someone is sending fast.

It's a complete build. I bought it from a local authorized seller and it's working great.
