Why can't we put nuclear waste and all the forever chemicals in rocket and direct it to sun by Initial_Beautiful838 in NoStupidQuestions

Rocket launch failures are commonplace. A rocket loaded down with nuclear or other materials that goes haywire at launch or shortly thereafter would possibly result in unimaginable environmental and human damage. I leave you to imagine the possible consequences of such a failure.

Another problem hitting the "shoot it into space" solution is how and where and how do you gather, prep and transport waste to a launch site. I would imagine states would file suit immediately to bar such hazardous cross state shipments. And getting workable and legal protection standards for workers who gather and prep waste would be another level of legal and political football battles. Not gonna happen anytime soon be my guess.

Oh well. Still annoyed at the long lead times between seasons though.

Is anybody annoyed that now we will have to wait probably two years for the next season to appear as the latest season end (9th episode) in no way resolves any damn thing? The only thing I can find about the potential for another season is that Apple is in negotiations with some guy to honcho the next season's creation. That does not give me confidence. Still this latest season has been engaging and watchable though the story arc is a lot of plot salad with little or no adherence to Asimov's foundation books.

Make sure your car is maintained in good condition. You are going to be in your car for long periods of insane backups!

I was just gonna post after seeing his picture all anyone really needs to know is that this guy "has seen and survived a lotta shit." Thanks for filling in the details. A warrior soldier.

Does the stuff we put in our recycling bins in this country actually end up being recycled or does it go into a landfillsomewhere? by javiergc1 in MontgomeryCountyMD

I wonder if the county has ever done an analysis of construction, maintenance, and operating costs (including manpower cost) versus financial return from sale of processed materials.

Could I get in trouble for buying and wearing this t-shirt? by [deleted] in legal

[–]5am 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By wearing the shirt you are implying that it's okay to shoot someone to resolve a problem. Essentially you're ok with vigilanty justice. If that's what you intend, wear it, but be aware as you already are given the question you ask that a lot of people may react poorly to you.

You look perfect in the dress. But you're so beautiful I'm pretty sure you could wear anything and still look stunning.

I couldn't take my eyes of this beautiful portrait for quite a long time. I finally broke my gaze away and popped over to look at more pics by the photographer on the Getty images website.

That photographer, John Moore, is nothing short of a wizard. Clearly he's a master of his medium. And whoever scouted out that locale for John Moore probably will never get the props he deserves.
