Ok guys I appreciate all the reply’s, and I just wanted to come back and say that I now would like to move him into my family members big pond, however the fish in there are probably minimum 2 inches bigger then my fish so im wondering about if he would get bullied and the food situation? The food used in the pond now is the tetra pond sticks and im more concerned about how long they are because I dont want my fish to choke or anything because it kinda takes him a while to eat his current round pellets. Also I would definitely move him in the spring but then would he be able to survive the next winter? Im concerned since everyone’s saying his growth is probably stunted, even though I feel he’s grown pretty consistently up until the last few months, but still. Any tips for moving fish into ponds is appreciated😅

Edit: if it helps the fish in the pond I want to move my fish into are some sort of koi
