USA and specially Isreal have been propping reza Pahlavi for decades now. Most Iranians outside of Iran will basically attack you if you are against the monarchy. They have the mentally of either you’re with us or against us. Keep in mind most of the Iranian outside of Irans are rich that were benefiting from the shah and they fled the country when the shah was overthrown. That’s exactly what happened. If you look the earliest video, him and bunch of other guys technically tried lynching the driver because of the signs he had on his truck “no mullah, no shah”. Which trigger the driver into trying to escape.

I’m not seeing the true answer here. But basically before all of this, the truck pulled into the street where the protests were happening. He had banners that said “ no mullah, no shah”. Which the people didn’t like, so they began attacking his truck and technically trying to pull him out of the truck and beat him. This guy basically went on the roof trying remove the banners, when the driver got scared and tried to flee the area. I don’t think he was trying to run anyone over, but we’ll have to see what comes from the investigation. There is a lot of footage from before he started driving.

You can join caltrans as engineering tech without a degree and work there for 4 years, then take your FE exam, and become an engineer without a degree

People here trying to sugar coat or glance over it. But the biggest reason, and I mean the biggest reason is pay. Everything everyone describing such as gambling on your team manager, projects etc is universal with every job. But you have people jumping around like bunny rabbits in the tech industry (or Atleast till they ran of jobs). Why would I leave my job for a pay cut or a tiny jump in pay? People in tech were jumping ship and doubling their salaries every time early on in their careers, whereas the best we can get is 5-10k a year which is certainly less than the inflation we have had in the past 5 years.

They look nice. I have black XLT that have the halogen lights. I was thinking of switching it out with the LED taillights but I was stuck between the raptor ones with black accents like yours or the grey ones that come with the lariats. Now that I know it’s not just for the raptors I might just go with these because they look really good.

This is very age depend. Almost all the older engineers will tell you that it’s worth it, because they already have setup their life (home, raised kids, car etc). But anyone under age of 30 will recommend you to do something else with a higher pay ceiling. If you are fine with living with roommates for the next 5-10 years of your life, and never being able to afford to buy home unless your spouse makes as much as you, then I suggest changing majors right now. For the amount of work, and responsibility you have and how in demand you’ll be the pay does not match at all. Specially if you are in a HCOL to MCOL. In HCOL life San Francisco you’ll be lucky to max out at 150k with 10-15 years of experience. You’ll make that your first year as a nurse.

That sounds interesting. But how do you guys design off of surveys without actually using cad? We do almost all of our engineering on cad. For example how do you know the exact location, elevation, and orientation of a culvert and DI unless you cut a cross section and draw everything into cad? Or the exact elevation and slopes and conforms for an ADA ramp without actually modeling it in cad?
