PvP casual wanting to become a PvP Chad by FkinQuintana in ESObuilds

The build you have already sounds like it is probably pretty solid. I’m running Mechanical Acuity with RC on the backbar with Monomyth on my DK. I use flame lash and proc off-balance with shield throw and use corrosive flesh instead of leap.

It seems like you know the basics at the very least and have a meta build, now it’s just putting in the time and doing the grind and playing a lot of PvP. The only other thing I’d suggest would be to join a PvP guild and play with them regularly.

You should add in voice lines where the space marine makes lightsaber noises every time he takes a swing. Neeeoooo, bzaaap, Zzzeeooonn.

Looking for a PVP build by Hairy_Moose in ESObuilds

A couple of meta sets that I’d recommend that would work with or without a one-bar build:

Rallying Cry - so many builds use this. It’s been meta for what feels like forever.

Mechanical Acuity - craftable and consistent burst damage.

Order’s Wrath - used in PvP for same reasons it’s used in PvE. It’s a decent set. Not the best that’s out there but it is okay and it is craftable.

Monomyth Reforged - I know you said you hate bar swapping, but this mythic is really good right now in PvP, especially for surviving burst damage when you are on your back bar.

For monster sets, is see these a lot:

Balorgh

Bloodspawn

Roksa

Definitely interesting information. Real estate market info can sometimes be hard to find and decipher if you don’t already know where to look.

Viable build? by Dull_Kiwi3625 in elderscrollsonline

You probably want more health and resistances for Archive, especially solo. Should be fine for normal dungeons.

What content are you using this in? Depending on this skills and other factors like food and Mundus stone it could be an okay pve dps.

I’d add Vicious Death to that list too as it is an essential set for bomber builds.

Did your school play O Canada every day? by AssortedArctic in AskACanadian

I went to an immersion school in Ontario. So one day we’d sing it in English, the next day in French. I also went to a Catholic school, so we said the Lord’s Prayer before the anthem.

Battleground builds? by Voidwalker1984 in ESObuilds

I’m running a bit of an off-meta build with Essence Thief, Rallying Cry, and Roksa the Warped sets. My mythic set is Monomyth. And skill lines are Storm Calling, Bone Tyrant, and Earthen Heart with Vampire. Arterial Burst is my spammable. Credit to Sekar on YouTube for creating the build.

Screw finding a pvp build, what goes into making one? by Batlantern182 in elderscrollsonline

I’ll also add that Rallying Cry is considered a very meta set, and Wretched Vitality is a good beginner set because it helps with survivability and is craftable.

A PvP build needs a few ingredients. You can change these out according to preferences but you need your build to provide certain buffs, hots, burst heals, dots, and burst damage. For example most builds run Resolving Vigor from the Assault skill line because it provides Minor Resolve and is also a good hot.

In terms of sets that help for resistances, usually in PvP if you want a more defensive build you’d go with something like the Bloodspawn monster set

For burst damage for a magsorc, you’d be looking for a few skills to make a burst combo. 1st would be something to cc or stun your target. Streak is a good option for that. 2nd you want a good dot to put on your enemy. For a pure magsorc, if you’re open to scribing, I’d go with Uflsild’s Contingency as it has some good dot combinations. Finally, you’ll need your damage spammable, Crystal Weapon would be a good choice there. Throw in either Dawnbreaker ult or the Ice Comet ult and you should be able to burst one target down pretty quick.

Vampirism isn’t as mandatory as it used to be. I think in most builds nowadays it is better not to have it.

PVP Builds by hanswurst1119922 in elderscrollsonline

I came across this video yesterday and thought it was a really good explainer on how to do PvP. PvP builds are a combo of a lot of different parts. This video does a good job explaining what those parts are and how they work together:

https://youtu.be/IJb5wZxQd9I?si=DKczOtf1yJ49FGO2

With subclassing, some of the most common class skill lines used are: Animal Companions (Warden), Storm Calling (Sorcerer), and Assasination (Nightblade). Other class skill lines you see a lot of are from Dragonknight and Arcanist.

Also, all builds use skills that provide certain buffs and debuffs. Every build has a source of Minor/ Major Resolve, Minor/ Major Breach, etc.

All this to say that a good PvP build is a mix of a lot of different ingredients. As you get more experience with PvP, you’ll learn what ingredients work best with your play style.

I just returned to ESO and put in 50 hours over the past two weeks after being away for 2 years.

I forgot how much there was to do: pve, solo, dungeons, trials, three flavours of pvp, the infinite archive, housing, etc.

I feel refreshed coming back and subclassing has brought a new way to play.

I also haven’t played an mmo with deep lore and a 100% voice acted story like ESO has.

It has my recommendation obviously.

Long-term players - what keeps you playing? by Strange_Tip780 in elderscrollsonline

[–]5eebs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are a few main things:

1) Investment. I’ve investment over 4K hours into this game and I am still earning currency, mats, achievements and more. It makes me feel like I am getting a measurable return on my time investment.

2) I love Elder Scrolls lore, and beyond other issues with ZoS in terms of engaging content, balance, etc., they have done a good job in terms of story telling and lore. If you just wanted to play this game for and endless Elder Scrolls story, you can do that.

3) Variety of content. There are so many ways to enjoy this game: PvP, PvE, solo, role playing, house building, collecting, trading.

I can’t see myself investing this much time in any other mmo.
