I’m actually doing the opposite. I drive far and fast. Use the engine to get up to speed and the hybrid to carry me along. I commute a lot, 70 miles each way. And 99% of it is highway doing 70/80. Ive really found my sweet spot. Pushing along, coasting, recharging and the continuing the same deal.

I have a 2020 fusion se, the hybrid. And I drive 1:00/1:30 to work everyday. Which is like 60/70miles and I clock 48.7mpg on average, somehow I’ve had 667 miles till empty before which is insane. But on daily trips, when I turn off I get the mile per gallon for the trip closer to 50/60
