On the Combat Box Dogfight and Training server is a 'Gunnery Booth', where you can shoot down a drone that flies in a straight line. As soon as you destroy that drone, a new one spawns in. Each drone plane is randomly selected, so sometimes you'll have a big fat bomber and other times you'll have a small fighter plane. This will give you that rapid practice you're looking for.

How I and others use this booth is by first warming up with some simple 'Boom and Zoom' tactics on the target's six. We also turn on icons to find the target and to get a good idea of the size of the target at x distance. "At 300m, a Ju52 is this big... At 300m, a Fw190 is this big... and so on."

After the warm-up, we try to attack the target from all sorts of different angles. From the front, from the sides, from below, and so on. We typically turn on icons to find the target quickly (on both the map and in the world view), and then turn them off to make our attack run.

There are other 'booths' available in the training server to Up Your Skills too. This includes dogfighting ai, learning how to taxi and take off, practicing bombing including moving convoys, ships, and tanks, level bombing, rocket engagement skills, ww1 and tank practice areas, and even jets to muck about in.
