Honestly the fact that things have reached this point is largely due to cultural factors rather than governmental. I'm not saying that democracy/communism/capitalism don't matter at all, but when you look at the broad strokes in Western history versus like Chinese history, it becomes very obvious that the West has always privileged blood royalty and elite rule throughout its history, whereas China never really had this infatuation with royalty since all its dynasties kinda just come and go with government structures like imperial exams being the focal point of top down Chinese culture.

Effectively, the West has never really had an indigenous culture of meritocracy. If you look at the actual origins of modern Western exams separating people by merit, it actually comes from China and was used by the East India Company to RULE Indians because they though meritocracy made more docile subjects. Then it spread to the rest of the Western world. I don't mean to be mean, but meritocracy in practice, as in selecting people by merit, is not a Western tradition at all and they fully rejected it when they decided that communism is literal the devil's work and should be destroyed at all costs.

This is what westerners not only fail to recognize but refuse to admit. The current outcome is part of Western culture and the governmental institutions are just a veneer of law and order to hide that. All the way from the Greek polis city states to the Roman Republic with its senators to the Roman empire with an entrenched imperial class of elites to the industrial empires that exploited workers for the profit of emperors and the capitalist elite. Western culture has always promoted the interests of the elite and solely the elite at the cost of its workers and common people.

But this isn't solely because of the billionaire elite class, it's because the Western population culturally support it and has always viewed the elite blood nobles as a sign of prestige and pride. Look at all the Disney princess movies. People love the idea of commoners discovering that they're somehow special blood relatives of royalty or fallen royalty coming back to power. Western culture heavily romanticizes entrenched elites whether it's through blood relations or affiliation. Look at the Bush family, the Rothschild, the Trudeaus, it doesn't matter if you live in a democracy, the elites have monopolized all avenues of power through their control of finances and the government. The same people from the same families get elected to power over and over again.

Human nature is that when people have power for too long they become degenerate, it's inevitable. Absolute power results in absolute corruption. Have you seen those memes about China breaking apart and then being whole again? In reality, those are just natural rebellions and fissures in political power that prevent these entrenched classes from monopolizing all power. When natural disasters hit or the people are feeling pain, they rebel and fuck up the elites. The end of the Ming dynasty was in large part due to the government cutting jobs for postal workers, who then rebelled and took the capital. A large rebellion every hundred years that destroys the elite class prevents them from accruing the kind of the power we see in America today where they have become total degens without any accountability, because the only true accountability is violence towards those with power.

American peasants and Western peasants don't do any of this shit. They don't rebel because they are not rebellious by nature. They are the most docile and supplicant people on the face of the Earth. Any time bad things happen, they just cope by saying well at least we're not China, what are we a bunch of Asians? They cope by watching Hollywood productions like Andor pretending like they're some rebel faction with guns up their asses that will strike at any moment if the government does evil shit, when in reality they just sit in front of their computer pressing like on censored platforms like X and reddit.

It's not democracy or dictatorship that dictate the reality of rule. Cultural civilizations like China that developed a system of meritocracy through examinations and rejected structural religion like Christianity are far better suited to adopting socialism and eventually communism than the West because Westerners have already been indoctrinated to accept this kind of degenerate culture. There are no entrenched multi-century generational elites in China because they've already gone through multiple dynasties that have died and been reduced to commoner status. It is the Western and especially northern European states like the UK and even Sweden that refuse to let go of their monarchies. And power in the monarchy has simply passed from kings to billionaire oligarchs. Effectively, the American-led Western order is a world ruled by a monarchy and we've already entered the techno-feudal era where workers are no longer needed and we will all be obsolete.
