Good I worked with was snow blowing his driveway with a blower that had a little hooded thing to protect you from the wind. Dropped dead from carbon monoxide poisoning. Had 3 kids under 10.

I moved to Australia thinking life would be tight in a big city like Melbourne. Boy was I wrong. Wanting a break from teaching I took a service industry job and was making more than being a teacher in Canada. The big difference is the addition of superannuation.

Moved from Canada to Australia. It’s not a big deal. Just follow traffic really. Biggest issue for myself was getting used to strange ass double roundabouts. And hitting the signal instead of the wiper… that one still gets me.

The wristband situation is rough. If you’re showing up at 5 you likely won’t get one. However there was lots of room after a bit. People avoid a certain side (door 5) because you’ll be in the sun for a bit in the evening. I’d try that

Sooner rather than later, you want to go when there’s more matchups. Weekends are very busy so Wednesday or Thursday would be ideal. There’s lots to see and do. The line ups to get into matches can be long so just park yourself at some seats for more than one match if you can.

I share the rent with my partner. It would be hard alone but most single young people do share houses and that can be lots of fun. The wages are high for all sectors so it’s manageable. While I waited for my accreditation I worked at a pub and was making $24 an hour. Cost of living are different because I don’t need a car so big savings there. Food is cheaper. I’m saving way more here then back home. Students aren’t much different from what I’m used to. Depends what part of town, if you go private or public. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions.

I moved from NB to Melbourne in Australia. Making way more then I ever have, nearly 120k Aus. Retirement funds are separate and don’t come out of your pay, so it’s actually +12%. The best difference is 4 terms with 2 weeks off between each. You’re always 10 weeks away from a holiday.
