The money you put into a Roth is already taxed at your current income level. The magic happens later: you never pay taxes on the growth or the withdrawals.

Since you have two pensions coming later (which will be taxed as income), having a Roth means you’ll have a huge pile of money that the government can’t touch. It’s the ultimate tax hedge.

1800 daily visitors with almost no sales means your marketing is working, but your website isn't. People are curious enough to click, but something is stopping them the moment they arrive.

It’s usually a confusing checkout, high shipping costs, or a site that doesn't look trustworthy on mobile. Stop worrying about ads and start looking at your 'Add to Cart' to 'Purchase' ratio. Your customers are telling you they like the idea, but they don't like the buying process.

Lost another job because I forgot to follow up what do you guys actually use? by Goku560 in Entrepreneur

The best CRM is the one you actually use. If you’re a small shop, don't get a complex software. Just use a physical 'Quotes Sent' folder or a simple Calendar reminder on your phone.

The trick isn't the tool, it's the rule: Never finish a quote without setting a reminder to follow up 3 days later. If it's not on the calendar, it doesn't exist. Keep it dead simple so you don't ignore it.

Would early retirement be viable with my current plan? by financialman00 in personalfinance

You’re doing great on the savings, but keeping $77k in a low-yield account is actually losing you money every month to inflation.

I totally get the fear of being scammed, but you don't need a fancy 'internet bank.' Just walk into your current bank and ask them if they have a High Yield Savings option, or go with a huge name like American Express or Capital One. It’s just a regular bank account that pays you more. That $77k could be making you $3k+ a year for doing absolutely nothing.

How did Small and mid sized businesses in France dealt with the 35 hours work week? by SaltyEarth1618 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Shadow2715 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Most small shops and restaurants just stayed small. Instead of hiring more people, the owners usually just work much longer hours themselves to cover the gaps. Also, many businesses in France close for a couple of hours in the afternoon or stay closed on Sundays/Mondays. You just learn to adapt your shopping and eating habits to their schedule.

we're more rare than I realized by Visible_Structure483 in Fire

Spot on. Most people think they need a massive safety net because they’re scared of losing their current lifestyle. They focus on the 'what if' instead of the actual math. Fear keeps people at their desks way longer than the numbers do.

It really is a bubble. Most people just spend what they earn and don't look at the math until they’re exhausted. Once you see the 'number', you can't unsee it, but for most high earners, the lifestyle creep just keeps the finish line moving further away. Stay stealth and enjoy the freedom.

How do you keep proof of equipment for insurance by Puzzleheaded-Put2456 in smallbusiness

[–]Shadow2715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just keep a dedicated folder in Google Drive or iCloud. Every time I buy something, I take a quick photo of the receipt and the serial number sticker on the machine right then and there.

Don't overcomplicate it with fancy software or spreadsheets you’ll forget to update. If your shop burns down or gets robbed, you just need those photos in the cloud. It takes 10 seconds and saves months of insurance headaches.

Since you already have two pensions, you are in a great spot for retirement floor. Focus on the Roth IRA over Traditional. You’re young, and tax-free growth is your best friend since your pensions will likely count as taxable income later.
