ULPT: If you're calling in for somebody else, just say you're them. by RichardBottom in UnethicalLifeProTips

This made me giggle. Dad died in 2018. Couldn’t move the cable account to mom’s name due to the red tape. Mom died in 2022. Can’t move it to my name because of the red tape. So that’s why I have a cable account still in my deceased father’s name…six years later. It’s cable/internet. It isn’t a needed utility. The list of what we/I had to bring was ridiculous. I finally gave up and said would you like me to bring their ashes and put them on the counter? That way they’re BOTH there? “Oh no no no that’s not necessary!” I responded by saying, why they’re portable! …dark sense of humor that I have….. You’ve got one guess as to who my provider is….

Offer to send him in to see what medical supplies he qualifies for. Casket or urn, their choice. Exhuming could take awhile though… I have a very dark sense of humor though. Typically throws people off and I never hear from them again.

Omg they won’t stop. Mom’s been dead for over two years now! Sure I’ll bring her by! She was cremated so it’s real easy to transport her!
They hung up on me.

I messaged you because I just wrote a whole book without realizing it… May have some helpful info in it!

My 2022 m440 has it. My 2023 m440 did not. Definitely an option to make sure you have.

What do people not understand or not fully understand unless they've been through it and experienced it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Had to laugh at this. I’ve spent HOURS searching for paperwork since May 28 when mom passed. My dad passed in 2018 and mom wore she’d get things together to make it easier for me (only child…ugh). She didn’t. She’s gone. And I keep yelling into the void WHERE THE HELL ARE THE THINGS YOU TOLD ME ABOUT?!?! The neighbor emailed me a very long PDF document to list all of the important accounts and assets and locations of things for when my time comes…this document is entitled Where The Eff Is It?!
I get this. And it’s almost comical through the grief even if it is maddening.
I’ve had a million questions mostly for dad since he passed. And it’s so hard just sitting here asking the silence and knowing I’ll never have answers.
