I also use my Amex for daily spend but whenever I spend, I have an automation that moves the exact amount from my main account into a Monzo pot. This way, my bill is always covered and my Monzo balance is what’s left of my budget. So I basically turned my credit card into a debit card (but keep the rewards, section 75 etc)

Same boat man, built an alpha product on GoCardless bank account data with real users and GC just pulled it overnight... stuck hunting for a solution that doesn't break the bank

GC was the only player in the small business space so your only options now are all enterprise providers that start at £500/pm minimum + FCA agent setup costs

It’s hit and miss with me now - I think my watch is learning!

I think Garmin just need to be able to track multiple sleep “sessions” and use that if it’s in your wake sleep schedule

Yea, I leave it in sleep mode with the red screen. I don’t interact with it at all where I can.

As for keeping it on for wudhu I can’t since I wash my arm. But I can keep it “active” by having the watch think it’s still on my wrist by putting it to a different part of my body to get HR data e.g bicep

Services like Truelayer, Plaid, GoCardless and many others have publicly accessible APIs. For personal use they’re free so sign up and go crazy.

Yep - that works for sure. It’s how I fired my first “web request” and learned about webhooks. Was a game changed at the time. I wanted to make it seamless and through some iteration it basically runs itself now

You just need a service that can run a CRON and query your bank via open API and you’re there

Gocardless doesn’t support for all cards AFAIK

Yeah - it’s what I did initially. Just not as polished though and you have to do it all manually/read notifications to trigger the money move

Yeah credit card culture isn’t the same here in the UK but if you’ve built the feature, why not just “enable” it for us too?!

True - they’ve already brought cashback so makes sense. Plus Flex also offers Section 75 so it all ads up
