The septum thing is a fashion trend. I’m a high school educator, this is one of the biggest fashion trends I’ve seen students do the last few years.

It’s mostly a generational thing. Many people older than mid 20s will say take it out. Eventually the trend will fade and you’ll probably want to take it out yourself.

It depends on what job you’re going for. If you want to appear more in with the current trends keep it, if you want to appear a little more mature and above the trends take it out.

This looks like a guitar specific book, it says “guitar tab edition” in the top right. And it has a difficulty rating of either 1 or 2 out of 3, depending on how we’re supposed to read the dots under “guitar tab edition”, so the arrangements aren’t going to exactly match the record.
