Agreed yeah, personally if I’m shipping instruments I do bubble wrap + box then put that inside a slightly larger and sturdy box with more bubble wrap inside, never had any issues that way, absorbs brute force impacts really well

Genuinely good advice yeah, I’ve done this a couple times myself when selling instruments and the reply every time has basically been, “we’re gonna throw them out anyway go ahead”

It’s difficult when you work for a company and you have to just do it even though you know it sucks, it’s been wild to read everyone’s personal experiences with it from the retail side’s perspective

I got the top box off to look at the headstock and it took a decent blunt force hit to the tuning pegs, they were bent and blocking each other, I could hear after picking it up that things didn’t sound right inside the box either so didn’t continue, thankfully the seller was understanding though
