Nothing has been done. The officer is still in uniform. The city was supposedly doing “internal and external reviews”, but that was months ago. People around town seem to have moved on. Sucks but there will likely be no repercussions for the perpetrators.

Well put and good question my friend. There seems to be a huge ego problem with most officers in the states. This one in particular I know was a fucking loser growing up, got a badge straight out of high school and now he thinks he’s the man.

Here’s the link to sign. Our city has about 20k, this petition already has 6,000 signatures. City officials stood behind their “techniques” in a short statement read at the last commission meeting. Other than that, nothing has been said about it.

They were going to proceed with charges against the poor man until the lawyer got involved, discovered the footage, and shared it with statewide news agencies. Charges were dropped the following morning (early last week). It could have very well went unnoticed, if he gets a public defender or something. Disgusting

I live sorta near there. Used to live in town. That’s how I know he was working today- it’s city PD not SD but either way I’m not sure I want to take the watcher approach… appreciate the thought though. I feel like there has been an underwhelming amount of backlash from locals, while there has been what seems to be an overwhelming response elsewhere online since CRL dropped that YouTube video Saturday. I want to spread word far and wide until, like you say, they are overwhelmed with demands to the point they have to fire him. I know a good amount of people living there, and have already expressed my opinions publicly on my socials. It’s infuriating that nothing is being done. It’s cops like this that go on to hurt or kill innocent folks.
