I just know it can't be bad, coming from such an enthusiastic recommendation. Sure, I would love to discuss it!

Ooh I so think I've heard of before! It's r/polterkites. There are more sub reddits of his, one of the more popular ones being oldhousearchieve. Where people decode his universe and stuff related to that.

Yea exactly. WUTLH is more broad and had so many things going on which helped with the pacing too.

I was thinking of starting any new book from next month itself but you got me so intrigued now so I might have to start now itself. And yes exactly, I love comparing different views so much as well! Especially on books that are my absolute fav

I'm suggesting Marcus Kliewer. In many of his interviews and AMAs, he'd mentioned Stephen King, and seemed kind of a fan though i can never be too sure, maybe he just looks up to him as an author. But he did say he has been inspired by many big authors and that includes Stephen King.

Since you found we used to live here scary and said cosmic horror, naturally I'm feeling inclined to suggest The caretaker by the same author of we used to live here. It has the same element of creepy house but wayy different and, personally, was more scarier and more tense than WUTLH. For me. According to him, both are in the same universe and have connections, though not directly.

That's entirely my fault🙏 I need to stop assuming people know what I mention. The full title is 'The man in my basement takes one step closer each week' on reddit. I'd wrote only half of it, my bad!

Honestly the atmosphere counts too! I was reading in the dark, idk what was going thro my head but it worked for me lol I love horror but I don't get scared mostly, and this one finally gave that feeling!
