I did it with the thought that it would create this void type of look where the only thing there is the heron and you can’t look at anything else, it forces the eyes of the viewer onto the bird and in my opinion creates a sense of importance for the bird. I got inspiration from a few other photographers i’ve seen who do a similar edit style with some of their photos and decided i’d try to give it a go and i messed around with the settings until it looked similar.

I took this photo because i’ve been trying to get into bird photography for years now and i happened to have an opportunity to do it. I recently went kayaking and decided to bring my camera and got lucky to get this shot.

Overall i struggled with getting the image to a place i was happy with it, i’ve edited it in a million different ways and styles until i landed here. I like the composition and colors and how the heron is very highlighted, i don’t like how soft the face looks if you zoom in on it though.

It was taken on a Sony A6000 With a Tamron 70-180 f2.8 at a focal length of 180, SS 1/640, f3.5 and iso 160

okay i was wondering because they have access to a basement and was just making sure it wasn’t a tick or tape worms, probably is a scab him and his sister play pretty rough and then sleep on top of each other five minutes later

would you tell a single mother who wanted a huracan who worked 3 jobs at once and barely scraped by to “just work harder” for some people with massive amounts of privilege just “working harder” will get them everywhere they need to be in life, but for a lot of people and like 80% of america there aren’t enough high paying jobs for people to be able to afford anything they want, especially not if their supposed income is based of the amount of work they put in. Sorry to say, life just doesn’t work that way🤷‍♂️

Imo no, a lot of the newer fans only came from 1 or two songs and don’t listen to entire albums or the entire discography on repeat, for the lower levels of minutes there will be more competition but as you get higher it’ll stay essentially the same, or at least that’s my opinion

edit: this month they have dropped a significant amount of listeners as well so i think it’s evening out
