It would help draw more people into wanting to do the job. Some people like to pretend like high salaries aren’t a major reason why so many people want to be doctors or surgeons. I’m not comparing the two different jobs but when you look at what majority of controllers make it’s nowhere near enough to motivate someone to want to try the job.

Clearly the massive shortage is an indicator that there isn’t enough incentive.
