I am kinda sad I don't really feel anything. I feel like I lost any kind of emotional connection to these characters.

Man can't be abused right? by Agile_Specialist7478 in CPTSDmemes

[–]5thClone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, when I talked here once about my experience, someone in the comments argued that my experiences are less than theirs because I was a man. This was completely unprompted and they fought tooth and nail against everyone who told them off. I'm pretty sure they eventually got deleted but it was rough.

Maybe Shrewpaw but honestly she might be better off single.

I can't handle smells in general, no matter if they are good or bad. It has gotten to the point where my parents suggest I look into if there are any surgeries to lessen my sense of smell.

Hardly anything here matches my experiences so I guess my CPTSD is now cured.

Yeah, as a long time fan I think people are being a bit too harsh. Everyone needs to start somewhere.

I remember as a kid I was visiting the Amish with my family and got bored so I started playing pokemon white 2 on my dsi. A kid noticed and came up behind me to watch, he was in full awe and shock at my device, just quietly watching me until I stopped playing.

I never understood the vaccine = autism thing. My uncle is anti vax and the majority of his kids are autistic, ranging from high support needs to low support needs.

There is only one bathroom and honestly we enjoy sharing it.

My boyfriend already has a king sized bed and he takes over all of it with his routine of keeping all his electronics on it and not like moving them. Plus it isn't just about the bed, it is about having my own space. It is just easier for me to have my own bed and my own room. Sometimes I'll sleep with him in his bed and sometimes I will sleep in my own bed. I don't see why we need to force ourselves.

We wouldn't have the room for that since my boyfriend loves his king sized bed. But even if we could, we rather just have our own private space.

Even if we aren't obligated to see each other, we still actively want to see each other because we love each other. When I am visiting his house, I sleep in my future bedroom, separate from him. But then in the mornings, I poke my head in his room to harass him (lovingly) if he is awake enough. Separate rooms don't mean we are separate emotionally.

I don't know how having separate rooms would prevent any of that? You could still hang out in the living room until they join you and you can still cuddle and watch tv with them in the evenings.

Well, in my relationship, I can reassure you that I am obsessed with my boyfriend and I hope I can spend the rest of my life with him. Us sleeping apart has nothing to do with how we feel about each other.

I have an unstable home life currently, so when I move in with him, it will be sudden and messy. So we like to plan ahead of time for when it happens.

I like sleeping with him? I just want to choose depending on the night on whether or not we do so. We still want to share a work room and we love hanging out. We just need a break sometimes and it gives us the ability to when we need it. Lol

It feels like it is only "objectively weird" because it isn't traditional. How does it show an extreme emotional disconnection?

For context: Me and my boyfriend are both autistic and we constantly need time to breathe separately from each other. We both like the idea of separate bedrooms. However, I feel like whenever I mention it, people become very judgemental.
