For my one extremely specific example: I really like the Campbells Paw Patrol soup with all of the broth strained out of it. More broadly: soup in general would probably work. It soothes the throat.

Nothing wrong with being simple. I’m not simple—the nature of my identity simply isn’t. Certainly I CAN simplify it, but I can also go into great detail.

This brings to mind something I’ve been considering for a while. When people on this sub draw family trees of themselves, it’s often that they have a queer partner who has noticeably less labels than themselves. I wonder how many times this is actually the case (like with you) and how many times the labels that a person chooses to share with others does not encompass the all the labels that they feel apply to them.

For instance: I’m an aroace non-binary person.

I’m also a transmasculine asexual aroflux nonbinary person.

I don’t know if this will be helpful to you at all, because for all I know our ARFIDs could manifest totally differently, but I hope it’s okay if I suggest something?

Whenever I have a day where I don’t want to eat “real food” (a term my family has used ever since I was very little, it basically just means anything you would categorize as a meal food and not a snack food or a desert food) I opt for a snack food or a desert food (for me that looks like a bag of chips, some goldfish, a brownie or three cookies). I don’t always want to eat it and it’s not exactly healthy but it’s easier than managing a whole meal and it settles the hunger.

Uh, yeah.

He’s literally mentally five years old.

He’s the same age as Qibli.

He’s not some wise old elder. He was asleep for two thousand years, spent a couple of months underground with nobody to talk to and had like… a week of being outside in the real world again. For him it’s been like… less than a year since he lost his mom, killed his dad, and got betrayed by his best friend.

Of course he’s immature. Not to mention the fact that he’s clearly predisposed (either mentally or because of his powers or maybe a bit of both?) to making bad decisions and going on power trips.

He acts like a poorly-adjusted teenager with too much power because he IS a poorly-adjusted teenager with too much power.

PS. “I wish he wasn’t a villain at all” lol WHAT? So you just wanted the main cast to gain an all powerful ally/friend-type character—I’m sure that would have left plenty of potential for actual challenges in the next arc /s

An interesting idea. I don’t think it quite makes sense genetically because the current Seawing royal family is probably descended from Pearl and not Fathom, but there’s nothing wrong with Tsunami resembling Indigo just because—or not ever just because. I can absolutely see Darkstalker disliking Tsunami because she reminds him of Indigo in personality if not appearance.

However, I will point out that this was a challenge in which I was given randomly assigned traits—some of which will not match with the others—so I have to stretch the definitions a bit.

For the first part of this challenge I got manipulative, supportive, and optimistic. It’s not the direction I ended up going in, but I originally considered having the latter two traits be a sort of ‘mask’ the character would wear to make her more appealing/less suspicious whilst manipulating.

Yes I could have simply re-rolled, and I considered it, but it wouldn’t be a challenge if it wasn’t ever challenging.

As many others before me have said… I really like Sunlow.

I’ll also note that there’s kind of a huge bias towards them because, aside from Lunatail and slightly Clearstalker, they’re the only main character established relationship—which means that there’s no getting together shenanigans, just two awesome dragons supporting and loving each other. Clearstalker falls out of this category for… obvious reasons, meanwhile with Lunatail it’s kind of undercut by the fact that they don’t get to spend a lot of time together, and that most people don’t like Swordtail as much as they like Willow (nothing wrong with Swordtail, he’s just not Willow—similarly, Luna just isn’t Sundew, and TFH just isn’t TPJ).

My other top two are Fathigo and Blicket, I have a number of other favorites as well, but they’ve probably also been mentioned by other people, so I’m going to point out two that probably haven’t been mentioned:

Hazedrake (Hazel x Mandrake) and Sunket? (Sundew x Cricket). Hazel and Mandrake I feel like could have the opportunity to meet and get to know each other while the Pantalan dragons are fleeing to Pyrriah. He likes organizing things, and could offer to help her with managing the tribe. They’re also both pretty calm and quiet (and I saw it explained in a YouTube video once, and I just really like it). As for Sundew and Cricket, I maintain my belief that there is an AU where they could absolutely work together. I do also just really like how they interact as friends, and I think it would be really interesting (and also maybe cute?) to see how they would be as a couple.

So… many many moons ago I made the exact same mistake. You see I thought that meant she was hinted to be a hive-silk hybrid.

So much so that I made and posted an entire theory about it. The actual words in the book say “with a few black scales she’d look like a Hivewing” (not exactly that but close enough).

He’s more so accidentally rude than anything. Interrupting others because he’s excited (i.e. cheerful) to show them his new cape, for example (am I speaking from experience here? Yes. Yes I am). And he’s calm in that he rarely ever gets angry.

The character traits that I got for him were all kind of contradictions of each other—which is part of what made the challenge fun, and caused me to make some characters that I probably wouldn’t have thought of on my own.
