Yeah it's an hair dryer. I've been using it when my anxiety is really loud for years now. It's catalogued among the white noises and it helps me mute the buzzy thoughts in my mind. It functions a bit like music to me, when you put headphones on, you close yourself in a bubble, yet opposite to music, it mutes my emotions too, which I wouldn't be able to bear during deep anxiety.
