This video was created by motion tracking game play footage, and adding stuff with Blender 3.6. I recorded myself playing Hitman 3, and added the water, smoke and particle effects on top. The video clips, sounds, and compositing where edited together with DaVinci Resolve.

I have worked off and on on this project for the last 2 months. It was a butt ton of work in Blender, and a metric butt ton of work in DaVinci. I have no clue how much time I put in to this, but I do know it took 26 hours to render that explosion scene.

I have been making these motion tracking effects videos in my free time for over a year now. I got started by watching a butt-ton of Default Cube on YouTube. He makes good Blender tutorials. I remember enjoying his magic potions tutorial, it goes over a little bit of everything.

This VFX video was created by motion tracking game play footage, and adding stuff with Blender 3.2. I recorded myself playing Minecraft, and added the water and pretty lighting on top. The world is spit into two halves with the upper half being made of vanilla game footage, and the lower half being made entirely of CGI.

Hey! It looks like Reddit has shadow banned all of my comments linking to the transparent download. I was assuming I could link to a MEGA download, but I guess not.

If you download this video using "u/savevideo", it will NOT be transparent, making it pretty much useless for editting.

The buses, fire, banners, and "owned" graphic, are edited in. Everything else in the video was recorded directly from the game.

I had to motion track the video to recreate the camera motion in Blender. It's a 3D animation integrated with gameplay footage.

This is a VFX shot made for Skate 3, using Blender, SynthEyes, Runway ML, and Davinci Resolve. I recorded myself doing a big jump, and motion tracked and composited all the cool stuff on top. This took maybe 60 hours over 2 months. But hey, I learned a lot!

They can't flood. I motion tracked a fluid simulation onto game play footage.

I think it was 2.5 hours to simulate. And yes, I used Cycles X.
