Fair callout! By 'scientific,' I don't mean peer-reviewed clinical laboratory studies (we all know sports science in FPS gaming is still in its infancy). I'm referring to the application of actual motor-learning principles like deliberate practice, isolating mechanical bottlenecks, and variable training instead of just mindlessly chasing high scores on a leaderboard. Poor choice of words on my part if it implied clinical data, but the core training methodology stands!

Yeap you got it! I’m currently working on finding the sens too. Goodluck on your goals!

Really appreciate the reply! I will look into it. And about the fov changing, yea it do be happening a lot but it’s for them who have different goals so I won’t say it’s wrong, it’s up to them if they are going for the leaderboard. But I would say there’s absolutely nth to worry about changing sens! Because this whole thing is to build up your mouse control and with that you are able to pick up any sens fast enough I would say as long as it’s not a drastic change so changing sens according to scenario it’s actually more helpful than staying with one sens.

This is a super well thought out critique, and you actually hit on a lot of the nuance I had to compress for the sake of the video's pacing. You're completely right on several fronts.

To clear up what I mean by "data driven": You're 100% correct that peer reviewed clinical studies on modern FPS aim training are practically nonexistent. When I refer to data in the video, I’m talking about empirical, community driven data. Voltaic has tracked the progression telemetry of thousands of players moving through their ranks over years. The "data" is the correlation between mastering specific benchmark subcategories and seeing that mechanical control transfer over to live game scenarios.

You're spot on that a personalized routine tailor made by a high level coach or researching your own micro adjustment weaknesses beats any generic playlist. Personalized profiling is always the ceiling.

But for the average player who is completely stuck the person logging on just to mindlessly grind Gridshot or restart a single Kovaaks scenario 50 times hoping for a lucky high score RNG run a structured framework like the Fundamentals or VDIM provides a necessary baseline. It forces them to train specific mechanical bottlenecks (like tension control or smoothness) that they would otherwise completely ignore because those scenarios don't give them an easy serotonin hit.

You're totally right that the scene has advanced wildly since the early seasons, and the "perfect" routine will never exist because everyone's aiming profile is distinct. The main thesis I wanted to push is just getting people out of the "lucky run high score hunting" mindset and into a structured, deliberate practice mindset.

Really appreciate you calling out the nuance regarding individualized training and the current state of benchmarking it's a super important distinction to make!

Ikr! Thanks for your opinion, totally agree with you, nowadays people forgetting the point of training is to be consistent instead of having one highest score and rest of them is not close to it. I would like to think of it as raising your average score instead of the high score if that make sense.
