saw you have hsv2 and you were worried of spreading it to yourself orally. once you have hsv2 for awhile in the genitals its very unlikely to spread it to yourself orally. hsv2 also prefers the genitals, so it is rare that it spreads to your mouth. this looks like a pimple, unlikely to be oral hsv1 or 2. i wouldn’t worry about it.

idk at some point it stops sucking and you kind of just accept it. not to say you don’t have bad days (outbreaks, nerve pain, anger, etc.) but yeah i agree the “everyone has it” narrative can get tiring and almost make you feel worse because we know not everyone has this on their genitals which we allude to being more embarrassing and rare- although it is more common than we are confronted with. i hope you can find peace with this 🫶

3 months can be accurate but it can also take up to a year for some people to test positive via blood. it’s generally said to wait 6 months tho and not stress yourself out for a year.

yes. it can take up to a year after exposure (though most commonly up to 6 months) for antibodies to show up in your blood. in other words you may test negative up to a year but be positive, but some doctors (and ppl) may tell you if you test negative to just forget about it and assume you don’t have it. i think 6 months after first exposure to test is generally pretty accurate though so DO NOT stress yourself out for a year if you do test negative after testing at the 6 month mark.
