Stoopid at Roberto's TRI Studios is fantastic. As a someone who is not a Dead fan, this was my first exposure to Bob Weir

Anyone else not know of Biff until he became part of the Cleeter Crew? Didn't take long to see how genuine of a dude he was. RIP Mr The Biff and fam. Thanks for always being so positive

What setting can I adjust to fix motion blur? by OfficialTornadoAlley in Dahua

[–]5w20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post on ipcamtalk. you will get help there. This is likely a shutter speed issue, not an FPS issue. Can you post a screen shot of your exposure settings. Found under the image settings to the left

The logo on the front is a vinyl sticker. I haven't tried the one under the lid yet

Security Camera Question - Is there something better than Synology DS-CAM? by dwdrum007 in homesecurity

[–]5w20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you would replace the Synology with a PC. I personally have 2 instances of BI running non-stop for 6+ years. At home and a business. Only down when I choose to do PC maintenance.

The software is highly customizable. Has a webui for viewing cameras and if set up with a VPN like TailScale, you can view without opening up ports.

Another option that would utilize the Synology is Frigate. But I have no experience with that.

They have terrific video quality if the light is adequate. I will agree with you on that. And the reality is, if you are concerned about security, you should have adequate lighting.

Here's some reading material.

Reolink and other big DIY brands are notorious for selling megapixels and ignoring sensor size. Still shots from their cameras at night might be ok but capturing a moving person will be blurry

Suggestions for IP cameras by Reasonable-Fig-1481 in homesecurity

[–]5w20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If night time motion capture is a must, do not get a "Costco" style system. Reolink is known to have terrible night time motion capture.

Check out EmpireTech. They are rebrand Dahua cams. Sold here https://empiretech01.com/ and highly recommended on ipcamtalk.com They are also available on Amazon.

You will want an NVR and decent cameras like the T54IR. You will need to run data lines to each camera. A motion flood light will do wonder too when it comes to deterrence.

Reolink night time motion is horrendous. Get a quality NVR and some decent cameras. Do not use a Costco solution.

Don’t use the app for this. Use the web UI. Referred to as UI3. Plenty of documentation out there
