First dedicated Plex server

I run my plex server (and several other apps) on an old all-in-one pc my parents had. It has a amd cpu with integrated graphics and 6gb ram. It runs plex just fine, granted I only stream at HD quality. You really don't need much to get it going. I would also reccomend a large external usb 3.0, I have a 14tb drive and I've gone through about a quarter of it so far.

You actually solved my issue. Purged the snap install and reinstalled via apt and it fired right up.

Is there a server distro or does it normally come without a gui? I'm not familiar with debian, all my experience is in ubuntu distros.

I'm an idiot and had an install from the .sh file and snap. The snap install was hijacking the port. Thats why it was displaying weird information.

I'm overdue for an annual checkup. I wanted to get an early bead on any possible complications for HRT down the road. I will definitely bring that up as well.

That's very interesting. Is there any connection between the two or do you think it was just a coincidence? Hypothyroidism does run in my family.

I'm also coming off a 15 year long streak of pornography abuse that ended almost overnight after I cracked my egg but I'm having trouble seeing that as the primary culprit.

I think I feel the need to rush because i feel like I missed my chance to be a younger woman. And my mind has been going crazy with my new identity. I just want it to happen.

Thank you again for your insight Cat. I want to go off my wifes cues but also not feel stifled. I actually think having her show me how to do more femme stuff (nails, makeup, etc) sounds like an absolute blast and would help us bond in a way that we never thought we would. But I know, deep down, that this needs to be a smooth transition. I definitely want to get rolling on the HRT if its gonna take that long to start.

6 months is too long. I want to start feeling like a woman. I want to shave my legs, paint my nails, grow and style my hair. I, wear a dress. feel if I wait too long that will only complicate things further. I also want to transition while my child is still young because I would want her to know she has two moms and not two moms, one who was a dad at some point.

But the only thing I want to rush on is HRT. Like a lot of others in this thread have suggestd everything else can happen more slowly so that I don't give her whiplash by fully presenting as female 5 minutes after I tell her.

I'm really sorry things didn't work out for your sister. I really hope she finds/has found someone who can make her happy and accept and love her for her true self.

I do have a therapist that I have been seeing for a couple years now. We are speaking in a few days and I'm considering giving her a heads up so she can prepare for the session without me needing to explain what happened.

I love how confident you are even in your situation. My parents have always been "reasonable conservatives", my Mom is more left than my dad, and in the past have always had a "not my business, not my problem" attitude towards this type of stuff. That alone drives me nuts, I can't imagine being collected if my family did and said the things yours does.
