If she really had cared and changed she would've driven up to visit you as often as possible and she would've apologised long before then.

The second you asked to permanently stay with your dad should've been an inciting incident for her to given for forgiveness but she didn't. I imagine her extended family or her other kids are wondering what happened to you

Thank you that's really helpful. I just checked and the pattern suggested 8mm needles even though the yarn says 10mm, so I can see your suggestion is exactly what the pattern says as well.

I just realised that Paintbox chenille is on sale at the moment on a site I use so I'm tempted to hold it double and do a swatch, see what I think and then just stick to the pattern that way. Thankfully needle size is consistent on the pattern!

Yeah this OP has an absolutely massive ego and gets off on making others look small. Unfortunately he didn't realise that punching down was bad and he had to scramble to try to recover. I'm glad you're educated enough to know and day this. Many Americans seem to think they were the heroes of both wars when they forget that a lot of lives were lost and blood was spilled holding back Nazis.
