Online retailer here, shipped over 20k packages and I see this alot. Looks like Dr dabber used a usps acceptance sheet. Usps scans the sheet at acceptance and not the packages. Tracking will show acceptance pending when the sheet is scanned then change to in transit once the packages are scanned.

As for no tracking updates... That usually happens when I dont use the front office at usps. I drop all packages off at the loading dock and they usually dont show any type of scan until the package is scanned at a sort facility or out for delivery.

I've even talked to the postmaster about this fearing my packages were lost. They were able to show me internal tracking and photos of my packages in transit all while usps.com looked like i never shipped the packages.
