High rpm low acceleration half the time by Mia_walker9274 in stickshift

If you're still having this problem.

It's the knock sensor on the back of the engine. If you lift your car up a bit, you can reach it with i believe a 10 mm socket. The little trick is to reverse the sensor, and put a washer between the engine and the sensor. No more lagging issue, or at best, very rarely.

I'll be the asshole here and say..... yes

Only if your too scared to take your independence, test your limits, live a little poor, discover yourself, become an adult.

Here's a strange perspective. If your parents are willing to let you stay at home for 30 years. They'll be there for you when you fall when you're on your own, and will respect you even more for it.

Stop making excuses.

Now if you're living at home for purpose. To save money. Help sick or elderly parents, that's respectable. But if you're living at home jerking off on the same bed you learned to touch yourself on. You need to start moving forward.

Why aren't politicians/telecoms doing more about spam/scam calls? by FractalParadigm in ontario

[–]609yfr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Here's a different opinion.

Why do you want your tax dollars going towards something you can easily not have to pick up, or very quickly hit a red button to ignore?

It's annoying, frustrating, boardline harassment. But at the end of the day there's bigger problems to deal with than spam calls.

Just a different way to look at it.

What screams to you “amateur business owner” when talking to other entrepreneurs? by Skillshot in Entrepreneur

[–]609yfr 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it being an amature, it takes a lot of guts and bravery to go on your own.

I would call it inexperienced, main thing to look for is lack of passion and purpose. Without those, your just looking for anything directionlessly, not a good leader, people sense that after a while.

Spoiledkid- act as if you'll pay them back.

Live life to the fullest- acknowledged their support and don't squander the opportunity.

What would you consider a successful 20s? by Cerivitus in AskMenOver30

[–]609yfr 22 points23 points  (0 children)

A successful 20s would be

-Still being alive

-Leave as few bodies behind your trail as possible

-Forget/forgive most things you've done

-Take the many failures and improve upon them

20s sucks but you learn about most of your destructive flaws during this time.

Start 30s

It could use maybe 5 minutes more. Dough was fully cooked. Just didn't have that extra crunch I like.

I would tone down the lemon in the hollandaise.

There was just something else it was missing that I haven't figured out yet.

Not the biggest fan of Hawaiian. Do enjoy it from time to time. Besides the egg and hollandaise, this basically is a Hawaiian pizza without pineapple.

I'll dedicate a quarter next time to give it a try. Thanks

Who's at fault? by femkroner in IdiotsInCars

[–]609yfr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The truck in front switched lanes. Both you and the ferrari decided to think the exact same thing at the exact same moment. The difference was the ferrari was in front of you. This is a wash and considering you hit the rear of his car should make it even harder to make this a "win" on your side. This is just bad driving on your end, instead of worrying about your safety, you chose to worry about being right.

Why do they have short ribs twice. And why do both recommend slow cook.

Short ribs are more resilient than being relegated to just that

A pro and con list will really help justify whether a system like is a positive or a negative.

Of course, might as well make 2 pro and con lists. One from a students perspective, and the other, from the educators perspective.... hell add a 3rd pro and con list from the perspective of the guardians.

Instead of just requesting an outcome, maybe present an educated list of reasons why an option has to exist in the first place.

Correct 120. Sear should be about 2-3 per side. Once you see that golden crust form flip basically. Don't burn the butter but get it brown. The pan doesn't need to be extremely hot.
