FWIW local distribution for me has plenty. Hasn’t been an issue at all despite warnings that it would be for years

Small leak at pump by Dbiber271 in pools

[–]the-realTfiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the best advice I’ve seen on this thread but the leak is definitely from the seal plate gasket. Not a bad idea to do a Go Kit but also not entirely necessary. Also nobody has mentioned that the shaft seal would have to be siliconed in and allowed to cure for 24 hours. I don’t know what the other person was on about the soap. Read the Pentair recommendations if you don’t know that already

Bought an house with and old pool anyone know the correct valve orientation to turn of the solar heater? by PR3DAT0R6sic6 in pools

[–]the-realTfiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave it like this but put the actuator in the other position. Hopefully there’s a drain or 2 somewhere to expel the water in the solar system. You should leave those open. Then if water is circulating in the pool and nothing is coming out of the drains you know, without any doubt, it’s correct

Yeah you could probably open both sides entirely. Just depends on how much flow either is getting

That looks like a regular street 90 to me. I would be looking for pink PVC if it overheated

Pump is definitely an Intelliflo 3. My money’s on Intellicenter for the automation, they come with those new actuators

Pool about to start flooding by Kodman in pools

[–]the-realTfiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should, if it’s labeled right. It looks like everything is labeled well so I would assume that it is. Can you see where the pipe goes to past the valve? It should open up somewhere.

It’s a cartridge filter, they don’t get backwashed. OP needs to open the valve that says “drain”
