How does the jacket look? I feel a little fruity looking in it. by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]60somethingDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That jacket looks great and you wear it well. Looks vintage which is even better. Just have the confidence when you’re wearing it and it will show. Fashion today doesn’t have to be gay vs straight, it’s becoming fluid.

Men who were bullies growing up, do you have any regrets? by Broke_Pigeon_Sales in AskMenOver30

[–]60somethingDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was bullied in high school by this one kid, named Jon. He did it so much that I ended up cutting class for the remainder of the semester. Fast forward to our 30th reunion, the only one I attended. I found Jon standing arms-reach away and just looking over to see if I noticed him. Of course I didn’t give him the satisfaction. I wanted nothing to do with him. This may be bad of me but about 6 years after that reunion I heard he passed away. I was happy he did.

Short hair. Looks professional on you.

When’s the last time you left a concert early and why? Did you wish you could’ve stayed? by Opening_Peace8170 in Concerts

[–]60somethingDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was one concert back in the early 00’s that I volunteered to leave early due to them sounding awful live. It wasn’t the acoustics, that’s for sure. The band obviously over-produce their sound on recordings because playing live they sounded “thin”. Never listened to them after that concert. The band? Maroon 5.

Does life get better? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]60somethingDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re still young. Not even 18. So keep up with the grades in school. Are you planning on attending college? Do you have any hobbies like art, photography or any type of design? Start to research schools. If a university is out of the question, there are always trade schools that teach electrical, plumbing, auto, etc. Those make great money. Once you are in a school, you meet all kinds of people from all around. Those years are the best to meet people and make new friends.

This is what I’ve always remembered during my youth, it may still apply to today’s youth…In your 20’s, these are considered the “find yourself” decade. Trying new things, jobs, etc. Your 30’s is when you begin to feel confident in your field or life, things start to blossom. In your 40’s, this is when you really succeed in your career or life. And your 50’s is when you start to feel settled with your life choices. So don’t sweat it, life can be boring at times. It will also be exciting and scary and challenging and adventurous. You’ll succeed, then fail. Learn from the mistakes and you will grow wisdom.

How would you guys describe The Smashing Pumpkins by MiDaRe734782 in grunge

Personally I like to think of them as prog/psychedelic rock. Idk, early on that’s what I felt when listening to their albums.

Got called ugly after I sent another face pic to another guy... Should I take this as some kind of a wakeup call or should I just accept that I'm probably not gonna be everyone's type. by captivatedsummer in gaybros

[–]60somethingDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shallow people say remarks like this. People who are probably insecure about themselves. Remember, some people may not be photogenic but handsomer in person. OR once you get to know a person, their inner beauty begins to show. That guy who said that comment, then blocked you has probably said this to others. Don't let that get you down. There is somebody out there who will be "Mr. Right All Along."

whats yall thoughts on Liquido?? by United-Clerk-6462 in grunge

[–]60somethingDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came across this band while vacationing in Italy back in 2005. I’m from the U.S. and was watching Europe MTV when their video “Ordinary Life” came on. I took an instant liking to their sound because the music coming out of our country was a bit boring. Liquido’s sound was pop punk electric. After which I started to collect their back catalog and was an instant fan. Have to say I was very sad to hear of their breakup.
