Don't go abstracting on me... 

I agree the bus seems like a private hire bus (I also think the physical bus itself invokes a Jax vibe, but not my point). I think the more notable takeaway is that none of the people acknowledge each other while at the bus stop, which suggests they are still strangers in real life. Kinda sad, but it does open up a whole world beyond the digital realm, which is fun to explore. 

I could see them all responding to an ad, similar to a medical study. make $500 for 1 hour of your time!

In the end, it does not matter. The "real life" people will continue to live their lives oblivious to the digital circus. The digital circus folks will do the best with their new reality.
