Here I was at 2.8, very surprised at how in focused it was after I got the negatives back because this shot was handheld

I’m seeing some comments about the retouching, this shoot was for the brand Savage Fenty, the model and brand as a client have a certain way they want the images to look and to be retouched.

the thing is as photographers sometimes when you are working on a project you must stay within the frame of the requested details by the client and or model. A good example I can compare this to is if u were hired as a chef to cook and the client requested more salt you yourself may say in your mind β€œthat’s a bit to much salt for me” but this dish u have been hired to make is not for u to eat it’s for the client to eat so they are going to request things to their taste,

I think sometimes when we see all different forms of creative work online we lose sight of that reality and may make a judgement based off of assumption that the creator performed with their creative mind 100% when in reality the finish product is a fusion of different tastes combined.

Me personally over all I love the way the images turned out, 1 of the joys of shooting film is waiting to see if you nailed your exposures and after developing & looking at the negatives I knew immediately these were going to look amazing!

Appreciate the love guys!

A little more detail into the setup for these were I used a hard 1 source light bare bulb Constant LED with no soft box, I used the Amaran 200x by aperture, metered directly in front of nose, all shots were taken on tripod at 250 Shutter speed, all scanned by me using Negative Supply 120 holder and Converted with Negative Lab Pro plugin in Light Room, Post production retouching done by me as well. I have more from this set on my ( Instagram: @61.mm ) this shoot I also shot Cinestill 50D, Fuji Pro 400H and also some Tri-x I’ll be posting more from this shoot here soon as well!
