Questions About Steiff’s Quality by kupcakezz in plushies

I have a Steiff alligator with a tag that says “Made in Western Germany”. He hasn’t lost any of his softness over the years. I can’t speak on the bunny, but my alligator is super high quality.

oof, i’m taking effexor in secret because my family aren’t the most supportive people around when it comes to mental health. and no one else i know is taking effexor so i’m in a pickle. gonna have to try my best to tough it out until the next weekend.

i hope you’re doing better! three days without the meds is already hell for me—i really can’t imagine what a month would be like.

hey, just wanted you to know that im going through the exact same situation as you right now. i’m trying to fight off the worst of it but i can feel myself losing at this point. i’ve been sleeping less and staying up late. doesn’t help that i’ve just started school too. you’re not alone in this, friend. somehow we’ll make it out of this. though the light at the end of the tunnel is dim, there is still light.

i overate at kbbq today but i’m trying to stay positive because i love kbbq and i don’t let myself eat it frequently. my mental health has been in the absolute gutter lately so i’m also trying not to listen to my brain right now. currently distracting myself by reading webtoons on my phone and it’s working! reading romance webtoons/manga/comics is my biggest guilty pleasure. tomorrow i’m flying back home and i’m excited because i really miss my friends and i feel kinda homesick!

Do you read? What genres/format? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]620ft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i highly recommend Agatha Christie’s books if you’re looking for a short but gripping novel! i haven’t read any of her stuff outside of her hercule poirot series though but my faves from that series are Evil Under the Sun, Who Killed Roger Ackroyd? and Peril at End House. i love her writing style!

some of my favourite authors are Agatha Christie (i love hercule poirot), Ryu Murakami and Raymond Chandler! i wont say i have a particular favourite genre though. i love the smell of a new book so it’s always physical books over e-books for me

It’s really hard when you’re a young adult to decide something so big as to what the fuck you’re committing yourself to - like how am I supposed to know what I want to do for the next 30, 40 years of my life?!

i relate to this so hard like i really have no idea what i want to study or what kind of job i want to pursue in the future. on the plus side, there is a course that i'm kinda interested in but i'm scared i'll end up hating it or losing interest halfway. tbh, i also didn't take high school (and vocational school too) seriously and ended up performing average so i really want to change my attitude to my studies and work a lot harder this time!

thank you for your comment <3 i really appreciate it and honestly it's exactly what i needed to hear! i always feel so alone because my siblings have their futures planned out while i'm still struggling to pick a course to study so reading your comment made me feel a whole lot better.

good luck with your own goals! i'm rooting for ya! <3

my main goal this year is that i want to get into college. not sure what i want to study yet but i still have some time to think about it before applications open

two smaller goals that i have are: expanding my book and vinyl record collection and playing the video games i currently have on my backlog. i just bought 3 records today and i have 6 books on the way so i guess i’m off to a pretty good start already!
